This privacy policy applies to all Packergo services, website, and Shopify App.
1. Overview
Packergo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users ("you" or "your"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, process, and safeguard your information when you access or use our warehouse management system, website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Service" or "Services").
Packergo operates as a Shopify App that provides warehouse management, barcode scanning, order fulfillment, inventory management, and related logistics services exclusively to Shopify merchants. Packergo is not a standalone entity but functions as an integrated application within the Shopify ecosystem. All data processing occurs within the context of providing these specified services to our merchant clients.
By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, you must discontinue use of our Service immediately.
Our Privacy Commitments

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to Packergo's own data processing activities. It does not cover the privacy practices of Shopify, Inc., third-party service providers we may integrate with, or other websites and services that may be linked from our platform. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties separately.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two primary ways: (1) information you provide directly to us through the Service, and (2) information automatically collected through your use of the Service and integration with Shopify's platform.
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account & Profile Information:
When you install our app or create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, shop domain (myshopify.com URL), and account credentials. This information is necessary to establish and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, and communicate with you about your account.
Order & Fulfillment Data:
Through our Shopify integration, we access order details including customer names, shipping addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, order line items, SKU information, quantities, prices, tracking numbers, and fulfillment statuses. This data is essential for providing order management, picking, packing, and shipping services.
Product & Inventory Data:
We collect product information including SKU codes, product names, descriptions, images, pricing, inventory quantities, bundle configurations, and product categories. This data enables inventory management, catalog organization, and fulfillment operations.
Team & User Management Data:
When you create accounts for your team members, we collect their names, email addresses, roles (Admin, Logistics, Packing), and access permissions. This information is used solely for access control and operational management within your organization.
Support Communications:
When you contact our support team, we collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to provide in your message, including order numbers, SKU codes, screenshots, and descriptions of issues. This information is used to resolve your inquiries and improve our Service.
2.2 Information Automatically Collected
Usage & Performance Data:
We automatically collect operational data including scan statistics, packing activity, fulfillment metrics, order processing times, agent productivity data, and system performance indicators. This data is used for analytics, service optimization, and providing you with performance dashboards.
Audit Logs:
We maintain comprehensive audit logs that record user actions within the Service, including order modifications, status changes, product additions/removals, user management activities, and system access events. These logs include timestamps, user identifiers, and action details for security and accountability purposes.
Technical Data:
We automatically receive and record technical information from your browser or device, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring URLs, access times, and pages viewed. This information is collected through standard web server logs and is used for security monitoring, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
Shopify Webhook Data:
As an integrated Shopify App, we receive data through Shopify's webhook system, including order creation events, fulfillment updates, product changes, and app installation/uninstallation notifications. This data is processed in accordance with Shopify's API terms and our Partner Program Agreement obligations.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Payment Information: We do not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, bank account details, or any payment credentials. All payment processing for Shopify orders occurs through Shopify's secure payment infrastructure.
- Sensitive Personal Data: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, biometric data, health information, racial or ethnic origin data, political opinions, or religious beliefs.
- Buyer Payment Credentials: We do not access, collect, or store payment method details, card numbers, or financial account information belonging to your customers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect exclusively for the following purposes, and only to the extent necessary to achieve those purposes:
Service Provision & Fulfillment
To provide, operate, and maintain our warehouse management, order fulfillment, inventory tracking, and related logistics services.
Order Processing & Management
To process orders, manage picking and packing workflows, track shipments, and maintain accurate order records.
Account Administration
To create and manage user accounts, authenticate users, enforce role-based access controls, and maintain account security.
Communication & Support
To send service-related communications, respond to support requests, and provide technical assistance.
Analytics & Performance
To analyze usage patterns, monitor system performance, generate operational reports, and display performance dashboards.
Security & Fraud Prevention
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
Legal Compliance
To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and Shopify's Partner Program Agreement.
Service Improvement
To identify usage trends, diagnose technical issues, improve user experience, and develop new features.
Legal Basis for Processing
Our legal basis for collecting and using your personal information depends on the specific context in which we collect it. In general, we process your information: (a) with your consent; (b) as necessary to perform our contractual obligations to provide the Service; (c) as necessary to comply with our legal obligations; and/or (d) as necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your data protection rights.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade, or lease your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 Shopify Platform Integration
As a Shopify App, our Service operates entirely within the Shopify ecosystem. We exchange data with Shopify's platform through official Shopify APIs and webhooks to provide our Services. This includes order data synchronization, product information access, and authentication through Shopify's OAuth system.
4.2 Service Providers & Subprocessors
We may engage trusted third-party companies to facilitate our Service. These third parties have access to your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

4.4 With Your Consent
We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent or at your direction. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Data Security
The security of your information is of paramount importance to us. We implement and maintain comprehensive administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
JWT Authentication
All API access is secured using JSON Web Tokens with configurable expiration.
TLS/SSL Encryption
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS protocols.
Multi-Tenant Isolation
Shop-scoped data access ensures each merchant's data is logically separated.
Bcrypt Password Hashing
Passwords are hashed using Bcrypt algorithm. We never store plain-text passwords.
HMAC Webhook Verification
Shopify webhooks are verified using HMAC signatures for data integrity.
Rate Limiting
API endpoints are protected with rate limiting to prevent abuse and brute-force attacks.
Audit Logging
Comprehensive logs track all significant actions for security and accountability.
Role-Based Access Control

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. 6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services.
Active Account Data
While your account remains active and our app is installed, we retain all data necessary to provide our Services.
Audit Logs
Operational audit logs are retained for a minimum period necessary to support security monitoring and compliance.
App Uninstallation
When you uninstall our app, your data will be handled in accordance with Shopify's data deletion requirements.
Legal Holds
We may retain information longer to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
Backup Data
Backup data may persist for a limited additional period for system integrity and disaster recovery.
Data Anonymization

10. International Data Transfers

We take appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses and data processing agreements. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred internationally.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
12. Children's Privacy
Our Service is intended solely for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Session token auth, embedded functionality, billing compliance, and privacy policy standards met.
Data Deletion on Uninstall
Data handled per Shopify's deletion requirements. Personal information deleted within reasonable timeframe.
Scope Minimization
Only minimum necessary API access scopes requested for core functionality.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a revised "Last Updated" date, provide notice through our Service or via email, and indicate the effective date. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage periodic review of this page.
